McKenna Marvin was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where she studied astronomy and physics in Santa Monica. She decided to make a life change and move to Japan at the age of twenty, attending college at Temple University in Tokyo.
McKenna discovered oil painting to express a side of herself she hadn’t known before. After seven years of living and teaching in Japan, she decided to move to the Pacific Northwest. There, the overwhelming natural beauty, and metaphysical concepts and history influence her work today.
With a solid background in the fundamentals of traditional 2D media, McKenna hopes of one day of creating a captivating narrative with her imagery and is now focused on learning how to write and draw her own comic book.
