My name is McKenna. I love to draw, illustrate, and paint. I've been doing it since I was a little girl, but I took it more seriously later on in life. My inspiration comes from my love of history, gardening, and books. But what compels me to create are beautiful, emotional, and often tragic moments in time. The loss of a lover, the feeling of meeting your creator, the death of a sister.
I love going into a museum and seeing a painting that feels as though there is a vast story behind it. Some measure of emotion behind the paint. It is that line of connection between the artist and the viewer that I appreciate.
